EMBRACE
Di Nageh Ahmed – Upper Egypt

Your branch’s embrace has risen,
Within my tender blood and heart,
It granted me to flirt
With the splendor of your blazing letter,

And to inspire the hidden verse
With the light of your love, O Suad.
I never intended to drift away,
But in my distance, there is no departure,

It is a drawing nearer to my chord,
The very essence of your calling is to arrive.
Whenever your eyes grow distant,
Like autumn, mourning overwhelms me,

And winter is nothing but a wandering
Of my thought and my yearning mind.
My desire has found solace in you,
In my life I have seen none like you,

Like the conjunction of our two souls,
Two soulmates of longing, in solitude.
For my soul and your soul have appeared
Like a cluster split from union.
